Sylen-Långfjället 23 km

Boat takes you across Grövelsjön to the Norwegian side, Ryvang. A long round trip where on the way home from Sylen you go over Långfjället and get a brilliant view.

Description:Take the boat M/S Sylöra from Sjöstugan to Ryvang. Walk the road up to the farm Sylen. A long round trip where on the way home from Sylen you go over Långfjället and get a brilliant view. From Sylen, follow the trail towards Hävlingen until you have crossed the river and out of the birch forest. At the national cairn, it is easy to crawl under the national border fence. Find your own way over Långfjället back to Sjöstugan (mountain map and compass are recommended). Keep high above the gorge on the slope towards the lake. Nice view of Grövelsjön and the Norwegian mountains to the west. Book a boat across Grövelsjön, M/S Sylöra operates on the lake. Timetable, see link.
