Storfjällsgraven

Surrounded by mountains and with a magnificent view is Storfjällsgraven's mountain cabin with dining. A unique and peaceful place in the middle of the rugged mountain environment that has attracted guests on skis since its inception in 1951. The cabin is a popular excursion destination both day and night for families, conference groups, wedding couples and anniversaries.

WINTER During the winter, the cabin and the restaurant are open during the day from mid-December to the end of April. You travel here on skis, dog sleds, snowmobiles or snowmobile taxis. Snowmobile taxi from Högfjällsgården. During the winter season, the popular snowmobile runs from Högfjällsgården, which is opposite Gammelgården. The cross-country trails that take you all the way to the cabin also start at the same place. Departure times vary during the season, so check Storfjällsgraven's website for exact times. If you want to visit in the evening, "Cosy dinners" are arranged during the winter season. The evening begins with a snowmobile sled from Högfjällsgården and once there you can enjoy a four-course dinner in a magical setting before the sleigh descends back towards civilization. SUMMER During the summer of 2021, the gates were also opened for summer guests for the first time. The paths and trails run the same distance as the ski tracks from Högfjällsgården in winter, but as always there is the whole mountain to visit and only the stamina puts an end to what adventures you can do. During the bare ground period, the cabin can be reached on foot or by bicycle.
