Snoddskallen

Perched at 765 meters above sea level, Snoddskallen offers breathtaking views and serenity. Visitors might also relish a meal in the charming slogbod.

In clear weather you can see the Norwegian mountains from here.

There is probably no firewood at the slogbod so bring your own if you want to make a fire. There is also no trashcan, so everything you bring here you have to take home with you.

There is an outdoor toilet on the right as you come up to Snoddskallen.

Snoddskallen is within the Älvdalen shooting range.

From Älvdalen Centrum: Head north on RV70 towards Idre. After about 24km turn right towards Trängslet. Drive across the dam and turn left onto Älvdalen's shooting range. Follow the road straight ahead until you reach a four-way intersection. At the four-way intersection, you follow the road straight ahead towards Rivsjön. Just before Lake Rivsjön you turn right and follow the road to a four-way intersection. At the four-way junction, turn left. Follow the road until there is a sign to the left towards Snoddskallen. Follow signs for Snoddskallen.
