Säfsen Ski centre, located only 34 km from Ludvika, offers a wide range of family-friendly ski slopes that all join together at the same spot. The nice surroundings of Säfsen offers also hiking and biking trails for both short family excursions, and longer more demanding long excursion.

Säfsen is a high-quality ski resort that offers good accommodation, slopes, restaurant, barbeque spots, Snow Park and cross country skiing trails. The youngest children can spend the day in their own skiing area called Filurland, which offers snow racer tracks, treasure hunts, sledge hills and much more. There is a parking place for strollers and a place to cook your own barbeque meal. Cross Country Skiing If you are a fan of cross country skiing, Säfsen is the perfect place for you. This resort is and official “Vasalopps-centre” which ensures the quality of the tracks: 115 km of well-prepared tracks for both classic skiing and skate. Enjoy the nature with mountains, valleys, lakes and rivers. When it is time for a break there are many wind shelters where you can light a warming fire or just stop and relax for a while. Alpine Skiing Säfsen resort offers a skiing school with beginner’s courses, advanced courses, private lessons and snowboard courses. Accommodation The cottages in Säfsen are renovated and fresh. In Säfsen there are no less than 175 lakes and streams for fishing. Some are better suited for families with a fishing rod from a jetty or boat, others are suitable for the fly fishing expert.
