Join in the footsteps of HRH Princess Sofia and HRH Prince Carl Philip for an exiting day full of local history and nature experiences. Your local guides Älvdalsguiderna will take you on an eventful day including a meal you won't forget.
The journey begins at 9 am at the Porphyry and Hagström Museum in Älvdalen centre. The first stop will be Älvdalslax, a salmon cultivation, where the famous roe Oderwilldera is produced. The crystal clear water of the river Österdalälven is the cause of the fine taste. Of course you can taste both salmon and roe.
The next stop is a guided tour at the Porphyry- and Hagström museum in Älvdalen centre. The interesting history about porphyry, the Royal Stone, has created wonder in many people for centuries. There are lots of exciting objects and a rarely told story. Here you will also find one of the world's largest music exports, Hagström, which was located in Älvdalen and you will hear about a small improbable story with lots of nostalgia.
In a beautiful setting in the Old Mill you will be treated to a three-course royally inspired lunch.
Full and satisfied, the bus takes the group on to the mighty Hykjeberg, the mountain that stands out like a giant in the forest landscape. A 100-meter vertical rock wall will impress you. Located at the top is the stone bench that Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip recieved as a wedding gift by the people of Dalarna. In order to sit on the bench and enjoy the view, the hike to the top is one kilometer. Älvdalsguiderna will inspire you and tell stories along the way.
After a day full of impressions and experiences, the day ends at four pm.
