Mojsen is located in a genuine industrial historic environment, right in the middle of the former mining area of Grängesberg mines. It is the miners' former staff canteen that has been converted into a museum.
Mojsen was the miners' dining hall and is located in the heart of the mining area, where several buildings from the old mine still remain. Today, Mojsen houses a mining museum with an exhibition space and is set to become a visitor center for the entire area. Grängesberg Mining Area is part of the Ecomuseum Bergslagen.
