The Mine Side 13 - Ernst Rolfgården

You have now reached stop 13 of "The Mine Side" children's tour. In the past, everyone wore something on their heads. Caps, bonnets, hats... The hat indicated what someone did for a living, whether they were married or unmarried, a young girl or a widow. What we wear on our heads sends a signal.

But what is that black hat over there? It's a top hat, or a cylinder hat. In 1891, a boy named Ernst Johansson was born on this farm. He wrote cheerful songs that people loved. When he started performing, he changed his name to Ernst Rolf. He became an idol, a celebrity throughout Sweden. And he wore a top hat on his head! In memory of him, the farm has been turned into a small museum and a summer café. Feel free to go inside the farm and check it out! What do you wear on your head?
