Lybergsgnupen 2.5 km

Hike to Gnupen's peak, up there you get your reward with miles of views of the wilderness towards Malung and Mora. Eat your packed lunch in the shelter or grill something in the fireplace that is available. 657 meters above sea level.

Start and end location: Öjs-Lyberget's summer pasture a few miles north of Malung. Follow the sign to Lybergsgnupen from Öje north of Malung. (Can also start from Lyberget's summer pasture, description not included here). Length: About 2.5 kilometers, one way. Trail markings: The trail has signs and orange markings. Time required: 2-3 hours. Severity: Medium-severe - uphill, uphill, sometimes rocky, sometimes rooty. 200 meters height difference. If you start at Lyberget's summer pasture instead, you will certainly have a longer distance to drive on a forest road and a longer distance to walk (3 km), but the height difference is not as great. Environment: Miles of views, breathtaking steep slopes, beautiful cliffs with mysterious marks and a nice shelter with a fireplace - that's the reward after struggling up to the top of Lybergsgnupen.
