Welcome to stop 7 of the Children's Tour, "The Fine Side."
Here you will find an old trading post, or what we would call a store today. It looks exactly as it did when Erik Thunström bought it a long time ago, in the late 1800s.
In his store, you could buy almost everything - coffee, crispbread, potatoes, firewood, shoes, margarine, matches, soap, and candies.
Erik and his wife Christina had two boys named Josef and Walfrid. They all lived in the same house as the trading post. You could go directly from the bedroom into the store.
"Short commute to work, right?"
We're in luck, the store is still open occasionally, especially in the summer. They sell different candies and some other fun things there. In the yard, there's also a cozy café next to a large birch tree. Josef and Walfrid Thunström planted it when they were young.
"Give the birch tree a hug!"
Psst, can you spot the chicken in the window inside the yard?
