Älvdalen's church is known for its size, the tower's 65 meter high spire and decorative elements of red sandstone, granite and porphyry. The pillars under the organ stand are made of Garberg granite, polished in the New Porphyry Factory.
The church has three bells, the oldest of which is from 1855, and some parts of the older interior have been moved to chapels in Åsen and Evertsberg.
